Equipment

Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade

  • 300 grams beef
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger

Vegetables

  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1 cup sliced red onions optional
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • lettuce leaves

vermicelli noodles

  • 2 cups vermicelli noodles

Fresh Herbs

  • 1 bunch Basil
  • 1 bunch cilantro

Nuoc Cham Dressing

  • 2 Limes
  • 100 ml warm water
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 finely chopped chili

Peanuts

  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts

Instructions
 

  • Step 1 - finely slice the beef and place it along with the marinade in a bowl for 30 minutes
    Step 2 - prepare the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package.
    Step 3 - julienne carrots and cucumber (or other fresh raw vegetables you decide to use) and place the other vegetables, such as the fresh bean sprouts and lettuce, ready for assembly.
    Step 4 - mix fish sauce, lime juice, warm water, sugar, and chili together for the nước chấm and adjust to taste
    Step 5 - heat the wok or frying pan to high heat, add cooking oil, then stir-fry the beef for one minute until just cooked through
    Step 6 - to assemble the dish, place the noodles in a bowl, add the vegetables and herbs, and then place the stir-fried beef on top. Drizzle the dressing and enjoy your homemade bun bo nam bo.
